Muscle KinetIQ is designed with your privacy in mind. Your workout data is stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to create an account, your data can be backed up to our secure cloud servers so you can restore it on a new device.
All data you enter into Muscle KinetIQ -- including workouts, exercises, body weight, and preferences -- is stored locally on your device. If you sign in with an account (Google, Apple, or email), you may optionally back up this data to our servers. Cloud backups are encrypted in transit and stored securely. You can delete your cloud backup at any time from the app.

Muscle KinetIQ uses AI (powered by OpenAI) for exercise identification, workout suggestions, and program generation. When you use these features, relevant context (such as equipment names or workout preferences) is sent to OpenAI for processing. No personal information (name, email, health data) is sent to AI services. Photos taken for equipment identification are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers or by OpenAI.
Muscle KinetIQ uses Sentry, a third-party crash reporting service, to help us identify and fix technical issues. When the app encounters an error, anonymous diagnostic data (such as device type, operating system version, and error details) may be sent to Sentry. This data does not include any personal information or workout data.
Muscle KinetIQ can function without an internet connection for core workout tracking. An internet connection is used for: loading the exercise library, AI-powered features, cloud backup (if enabled), and anonymous crash reporting.
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the Profile section of the app. Local data on your device can be cleared using the "Reset All Data" option. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
